Thank you for your letter of 18th November 2005, the contents of which are noted.

We always investigate matters where guests or users complain about the content of our forum, and we are saddened that your client felt unable to approach us directly with their concerns. Accordingly, we have removed content from our forum which we consider to be unfair to your client.

As you maybe aware, we do not preview, edit or vet users’ comments before they are posted and we rely on the defence prescribed by s.1(c) of the Defamation Act 1996 regarding any alleged defamatory material displayed on our forum. In a continuing spirit of amicability we will offer our support to your client by taking reasonable endeavours to remove, what is in our opinion, any further malicious or unfair commentary in relation to their business. Moreover, should your client wish to publish a statement to our members via the forum in redress, we invite them to do so.

We have been staunch supporters of your client’s business, highly recommending their service to our 4,000 registered members and 20,000 daily visitors. Your client’s approach to this matter has only served to damage that long-standing relationship and alienate potential future customers. This is as disappointing to us, as I am sure it is to your client.

In light of the above we trust no further action will be taken and we look forward to your confirmation of such.
