Kent, Surrey, Sussex & London foccers ride to Bognor 13/04/03
We all met up at Box Hill. I had joined up with Locksmith at Clackets Lane and then we had negotiated the 30 and 40 limits that are so many Surrey roads! Then it was a bacon but
ty, a cup of tea, photo shoot and off! After a shaky start we (most of us) met up again in Abinger. Up the closest bridle way lol! Well narrow road then. By Leith Hill the roads opened up and we were away. Some good undulating bendy roads covered in foccin cars! Long stretches of double white lines stopped most of us ( you know who you are!) from progressing for a while, however again the roads opened up and we were off. Stopped for a cup of tea a few miles from Bognor at a biker haunt. Don Browning and Houdini went pissing past, as they couldn't wait to get to the seaside, as it turned out a horse was doing a dance in the road a few miles back, slowed them down a bit and subsequently they didn't see us turn in. So refreshed it was off to Bognor and Sausage egg, chips and beans plus another cup of tea!! We had a good old chinwag and then it was time to head home, Locksmith and I, plus the ever-faithful pillions went our way and left the others to go back to Box Hill. We had a good ride home but I suspect Locksmith was suffering deceleration due to pillion input rather than mechanical problems lol! Good day for most (sorry you missed out Dave!) nice to be able to put even more faces to names, good also to see a few more pillions as well.Urbanswine.
