Popular south-east Essex bike night at the Dick Turpin PH, near Wickford. Tuesday evenings throughout the summer (not sure about winter yet). On a busy night there'll be hundreds of bikes there, and usually a few loons destroying tyres in the car park.
Where: The Dick Turpin Arterial Rd Wickford Essex SS12 9HZ
Directions: A127 London-Southend; on the left between the A132 (Wickford) and A130 (Chelmsford) turnoffs. You'll usually find the Foccers on the left hand side of the main car park (near the hedge) about halfway back. Map Here
Silver Ball
Greasy spoon cafe, on the A10 near Royston, bikes welcome. Usually a few small gatherings of bikers there at assorted times.
Where: Silver Ball Transport Cafe London Rd Reed Royston Hertfordshire SG8 8BD
Directions: Reed is on the A10 between Royston and Buntingford, about 3 or 4 miles south of Royston. The Silver Ball is at the top of a hill, on the right if you're going away from Royston (south), or on the left if you're going towards Royston (north). Map Here
The Ace
The Ace Cafe, Stonebridge Park. Scene of all sorts of naughty misbehaviors and frightful goings on during the late fifties/early sixties. Apparently. Nowadays there's a Yamaha owners night on the third Thursday of the month, at which time loads of foccers will converge on it if the weathers nice (or they'll be working late if it isn't nice ).
Where: Ace Cafe London Ltd Ace Corner, North Circular Rd London NW10 7UD
Directions: Just off the 'outside' of the North Circular, Brent Park. It's not actually on the NC; that section was widened a while back, so it's now on a road set back from (and above) the NC. Watch out for the pretty busy/big railway crossing over the road; if you see loads of arches, you're pretty close; if you go under them, you've probably missed it. Map Here
The Comfort Another transport cafe, just off the A11 south of Cambridge. Formerly a popular Wednesday night Foccers' meeting place - birthplace of the regular Essex/Herts/Beds/Cambs meets - but not so popular as it used to be, the Silver Ball's having pretty much nicked it's place in the meetings calendar by virtue of far less irritating closing times. Still gets the occasional visit though.
Where: World Famous Comfort Cafe Service Area, Four Went Ways Little Abington Cambridge Cambridgeshire CB1 6AP
Directions: From the A11 eastbound, leave at the A1307 junction (fourwentways) and take the 'Haverhill' turning (i.e. away from Cambridge). A few hundred yards off the roundabout, there's a right turning into a road which runs back towards the A11 again. At the roundabout, go left, past the petrol station and the Little Chef, the Comfort's the next turning on the left. Map Here
Box Hill (Ryka's Cafe)
Transport cafe, on the A24 near Dorking, very bike oriented, actually the biggest meeting place for bikers in the South East (Apparently). Usually rammed with bikers there at weekends and evenings over the summer; Foccers usually go there on weekends to meet for a ride out South of London (see events threads for London SE rides). Never speed in the area coz the local police are almost always doing speed checks and pull people over for cans and plates all the time.
Where: Ryka's Cafe Box hill, Dorking, Surrey RH5 6BX
Directions: It is on the A24 between the M25 and Dorking. See the map. Map Here
Rivington Barn
If you don't know the way to Rivington barn it's between Chorley & Bolton. If you come down the M61, come off at junction 6, go through Horwich, take the turnoff for Rivington lane on the right and Rivington barn is about a mile down the lane. If in doubt follow the other bikes in the area...
Basically a big car park by and old Viking barn/hall thing, usually a BBQ there in the summer and hot drinks and food are available inside.
Devil's Bridge
Located just east of Kirkby Lonsdale on he A65 (M6 J36) Is a very popular bikers meet, there's a food van there all year round and often there are discount clothing stalls in the summer. Plod presence isn't unusual so you've been warned. The roads around Devil's are some of the best in the north and its a good start/finish point for a run to Hartside.
Hartside Top Cafe
The Hartside Top Cafe is located on the A686 which runs between Penrith and Alston or Hexham (very near), which is about 7 miles south of Alston (or the A689 Junction) on the A686. Generally bikers stop here to rave about the A686 they have just rode from the Penrith direction. Food is quite good, but it gets extremely busy during summer.

Just off the A1 on the B1222 east of Leeds Squire's is an old pub; now a pub cafe. Big meeting point for bikers particularly Wed night and weekends. Yorkshire foccers frequently use it as a ride out starting point. Map Here
